Snowbound in Brighton!

Just back from an excellent two days at the Association for Cultural Enterprises convention in Brighton. A valuable series of presentations and seminars, most notably Julie Steiner, President, Museum Store Association and Director of Retail at the Barnes Foundation Philadelphia with great thoughts on how retail at cultural sites needs to relate to core mission and be more than a gift shop.

Almost 300 delegates at the awards dinner on Thursday preceded by a reception high above the town in the British Airways i360 with stunning views. The ACE convention will be in Brighton again next year: 28 Feb & 1 Mar 2019. If you run a museum or heritage shop you should be there!
